The Future of the Scrum Master Role
Details
In a world filled with headlines declaring “Agile is Dead” or “AI will replace Scrum Masters”—coupled with mass layoffs shaking the Agile community (myself included)—it’s easy to feel discouraged about the future of our profession. Yet, the very heart of agility is adaptation, and if we expect the individuals, teams, and organizations we serve to transform, we must be willing to transform ourselves.
In this session, we’ll unpack what a Scrum Master truly does today and explore how the role is evolving to meet the challenges of tomorrow. Together, we’ll look at how Scrum Masters can embrace emerging technologies like AI—not as a threat, but as a partner that can help us level up our impact. By leaning into change and expanding our influence, Scrum Masters have the opportunity to become living examples of what it means to practice agility, not just teach it.
