Exploring the Principles of Female Discipline (Women Only)
Details
This is a fortnightly women-only discussion group, facilitated by a man, exploring female nature, principled living, relationships, and what it means for women to live well — including how a woman living in alignment with the principles of female discipline can positively shape the people, relationships and world around her.
What is female nature? Is it different from male nature?
What particular challenges do women face — and are they different from those faced by men?
What does it mean for a woman to live a principled life?
And how do we decide which principles are actually worth living by?
Modern Western culture offers women many messages about freedom, independence, relationships, family, sexuality, career and happiness. Some of those ideas have undoubtedly opened opportunities. But have others come at a cost?
Are there truths about human nature, men and women, relationships and family that our culture has become uncomfortable discussing?
And what happens when social conformity becomes more important than asking whether the prevailing ideas are actually making people's lives better?
Exploring the Principles of Female Discipline is a fortnightly discussion for people willing to examine these questions openly.
We will explore principles that women might apply to their lives in pursuit of greater happiness, wellbeing, safety, purpose and stronger relationships — and consider how those principles affect not only the individual, but her partner, children, family, community and the wider society in which she lives.
This will not be a discussion based on political correctness or on saying what we are expected to say.
Nor is it about attacking women or men.
It is about being willing to ask difficult questions, examine uncomfortable ideas and search for principles that might help people live better lives.
This event is for women only and is facilitated by a man.
The aim is to create a structured space for examining difficult questions about female nature, relationships, culture, responsibility and the principles that can support a good life. This is not a space for preaching or telling others what they should believe. Bring your ideas, question them, agree, disagree, explore different perspectives, and be willing to leave some questions open without forcing a conclusion.
This event will not be for everyone.
That's okay. It is for the few who are curious enough to question, open enough to listen, and independent enough to reach their own conclusions.
This is not a politically correct discussion group. Difficult, unfashionable and controversial ideas are welcome. We will question contemporary assumptions about women, men, feminism and relationships, while treating one another with respect and allowing everyone to reach their own conclusions.
