This meetup group is for everyone who rents privately in the London Borough of Camden. The purpose of the group is to provide moral and practical support for anyone who rents privately in Camden.
Private renters often end up paying the highest rents for poor quality properties just to have a roof over their head. Then they face problems like damp and mould, landlords that don't carry out repairs or housemates from hell. Then there's sometimes the ever-present threat of eviction and homelessness. Often, there isn't the same support as there is for council and social housing tenants.
We hope to have regular get togethers, provide mutual support and offer tenants a voice. If you are a private renter, I hope you will join us in this exciting endeavour.
