Hey! This is our next Read-and-Act gathering on the journey of deconstructing misogyny, learning to make better choices, and being proactive when witnessing acts of misogyny.
We have just finished our 1st season. Before we move to our next book, we have this inter-season meeting, watching “Woman of the Hour” https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7737800/
It’s a real life-based story happening when a serial killer getting to a TV show.
This story is told by a female film director, Anna Kendrick.
If you cut out all the “serial killer” parts, this will still be a space buzzing with the pressure of patriarchy and misogyny. It allowed me to get a sense of being on the receiving end of it. Though it’s all 1970s, there is a lot about everything we do/go through, in our everyday life.
Highly recommended to ppl living a life as men.
