**Why come?**

* **Practise languages in real life** — swap English, and any other language with travellers and locals.
* **Break the ice over board games** — Jenga, UNO, Cards Against Humanity, and other quick-to-learn games are on every table.
* **Make genuine friends** — most guests arrive solo; our hosts introduce you so nobody’s left standing awkwardly.
* **Finish on the dance floor** — from 10 pm we clear the tables, turn up the beats and dance till late.

2. **Zero harassment:** Pickup tactics and aggressive flirting = instant ban.

### 💖 WOMEN-LED & SAFETY FIRST

* **Female-Founded & Hosted:** Aloha is the only Sydney language exchange started and still run by a woman. Most events have a female host on duty all night.
* **Buddy Bands:** Ask at check-in to be paired with another woman or mixed group for your first hour.
* **One-Strike Ban:** We have banned many people over the years and are not afraid to ban anyone who makes others feel uncomfortable.
* **Quiet Reporting:** DM **@alohasydney** on Instagram or message an admin in our whatsapp group.
