Hey Songwriters!

Chords do not have to feel mysterious or overwhelming. You do not need a music theory degree to choose progressions that support the emotional core of your song. In this class, we will break chords down to their essentials so you can make confident, creative choices in your writing.

I am Chad Shank, a songwriter, recording artist, and songwriting educator. I teach Lyric Writing and Commercial Songwriting for Berklee Online, and I run At Home Songwriting where I help writers develop a soul-first and repeatable songwriting practice. My goal is to make the craft of songwriting feel less intimidating and a lot more inspiring.
