Who we are
The Buckeye Trail Association has been the leader in building, maintaining, protecting and promoting Ohio's 1,400+ mile Buckeye Trail (BT) since 1959. Hundreds of BTA Volunteers devote thousands of hours each year so that millions of Hikers can enjoy Ohio's state trail. Please check out these BTA meetup events for hiking, volunteer and educational opportunities all around the state, on and off of the Buckeye Trail. Meetup is a great way to meet new people who share common interests or explore new ideas. Buckeye Trail Members enjoy hiking, day hiking - backpacking, but they also enjoy local history, nature programs, great places to eat and drink, kayaking/canoeing, biking and more. To have a lively BTA, please consider joining a meetup and leading one yourself. Check out the variety of activities offered by our five BTA Chapters: the Miami Rivers, Muskingum Lakes, Little Cities of the Forest, Crooked River, and Central Ohio Chapter who are our local faces of the BTA. If you are inspired by the work we do please consider supporting BTA Volunteers by becoming a member of the Buckeye Trail Association here: http://buckeyetrail.org/. Enjoy the Buckeye Trail!!
