This group has shifted in recent weeks, as have many of us. It has become a quieter, deeper space—one of story as medicine, myth as mirror, and literature as a lighthouse.

Chapter 1

it is okay to feel safe.

although I may flinch
at my thoughts.
they crash like tides
of violent storms
I have spent lifetimes
within.

my fear has enabled
my survival.
thank you,
darkness,
for keeping me

when skies

when innocence

Chapter 2
The mulberries.

Today, on the bridge of land between two lakes, I picked rubbish from tall grasses. As I stretched through the barbed fence, I peeled away an old plastic bag stuck to the ground. It came away in pieces. Thoughts flash, and I worry about the animals. I try to pick up as many pieces as I can, but I can't get it all. I get caught in the barbed fence, my arms scraped by thorny vines.

I tell nature I'm sorry. That I did my best.

I stand up and look at the thorny vines. And see mulberries. The little kid in me remembers them from long ago. When sugar was needed for the bitterness.

I carefully reach through the barbed fence again and gently pick a ripe one. Purple as that part of nightfall that begins to sigh and settle.

It's sweet, and the little kid in me does a skip. I walk along the fence and pick several, savoring each one. Showing gratitude. And thinking how it's always amazing when looking closely at nature and seeing her wonders. Just waiting there to be noticed.

Chapter 3
The Orchestra.

On the shoreline of wonder, night approaches. I sit in lotus position and greet the stars.

Lighting a candle, I whisper these truths:

For all the lost ones who have denied the light within their own souls,

for all the lost ones who met my kindness and warmth with cold judgment and criticism,

for all the lost ones who fiercely grip control and force when new seasons remind it is time to tend the cracked soil with renewal and growth,

for all the lost ones who denied my sovereignty, I say it is not your place to decide,

for all the lost ones who continue to believe in shadows within the cave because it is safe, I say may you one day feel love for yourself enough to wish for more,

for all the lost ones who cut me with their lies, I say I see behind your masks, and know that you are still beautiful, but your burdens, projections, fears, unhappiness, and discomforts are yours to carry,

for all the lost ones who preach what I should and shouldn't do, think or shouldn't think, I say, look within your self,

for all the lost ones who tried to cut me down and make me small enough to fit within their limited beliefs and narratives, I say my roots, my branches, my joy are far too big to ever be confined,

for all the ones who deny my voice, I say...

I sing.

Darkness falls.
I am unafraid.
Winds carry my songs
of unity and remembrance
through the grasses,
through the spring flowers,
and through the treetops
to greater heights.

And together—
nature and I—
the souls of all who remember,
sing the chorus
of life.

Join me for an exclusive opportunity to ask any questions you may have about positive reinforcement, dog training, the underlying philosophy, and the tools you can use. My goal is to help you understand that many trainers are still using outdated methods—methods that new trainers, who are studying dog psychology, would never utilize. Unfortunately, these outdated approaches often come with a high price tag.

**What to expect** : Each session will last 30 minutes and will be conducted via Zoom, providing you with a private setting to discuss your questions with me.

**What you will need** : This event is strictly donation-based, meaning you can contribute any amount you can afford. However, a donation is required to participate. A Zoom link will only be sent to those who have donated.

Their story or work will serve as the evening’s focal point, offering a collective point of connection without placing any individual in the spotlight.

We'll then open the space for quiet reflection, meaningful shares, or simply presence. There's no pressure to speak, explain, or discuss personal experiences. Listening is a valid and powerful form of participation.

This gathering is meant to be nourishing, not demanding. Sacred, not performative.
