Service Levels (SLI/SLO) are even more relevant in the age of AI-generated blackboxes. In this talk, Alex talks about:

1. A foolproof methodology to get to meaningful metrics that tie to business objectives and are worth being on-call for
2. Exploring why the AI era makes Service Levels more relevant than ever, but there's a catch.

[Alex](https://www.alexewerlof.com/) is an [author](https://blog.alexewerlof.com/p/rem) and open source developer with 27 years experience and MSc in Systems Engineering from KTH. He has the last 8 years as SRE (senior and staff) helping large and small organizations measure what matters and set reasonable expectations while avoiding [broken ownership](https://blog.alexewerlof.com/p/broken-ownership). He has also spent the last few years building an AI powered (BYOK) [app](https://srvlvl.com/) that replaces his role and if there's time he may show a demo.

2️⃣ **Not Just Code: My First OpenTelemetry: Contribution & Hands-On to Open Source**, [Imma Valls](https://www.linkedin.com/in/imma-valls)
Starting in open source can feel intimidating, but it doesn't have to be. In this session, I will share my journey into OpenTelemetry and the CNCF ecosystem, explore both code and non-code contribution paths, and demonstrate how to create and submit a pull request in a real open source project.
This session will highlight concrete next steps: **LFX Mentorship, Outreachy, and Google Summer of Code**, programs that offer mentorship and visibility to help you make that first contribution with support. Whether you're a student or working professional, you'll leave with a clear first step to take today.

**🎙️ « Un dashboard, mille contextes »**, présenté par Yaëlle Chaudy - Senior Manager Engineering chez Grafana Labs.
*Filtres, variables multi-properties, variables déclarées au niveau instance/dossier/dashboard/section: comment utiliser ces nouvelles fonctionnalités pour construire un seul dashboard qui sert à toute l’équipe, au lieu de dix copies qui divergent.*
*Démos et cas pratiques inclus.*

**🎙️ « Grafana as Code : on a testé tous les patterns, on vous donne celui qui fonctionne et nos bonnes pratiques. »** par Arthur Caldeireiro et Kevin Andrieux - SRE/DevOps Engineers chez Lenstra.
*Un dashboard modifié à la main un vendredi soir. Un JSON de 200 lignes illisible en review. Un export depuis l'UI qui décale tous les IDs de panels. Un copier-coller entre environnements avec des UID codés en dur. On connaît tous ce scénario.*
*Le templatefile() en Terraform règle la duplication, mais on reste coincé avec un JSON qu'on triture à coups de chaînes de caractères : aucune validation, aucune vraie abstraction.*
*Chez Lenstra, on a construit autre chose : un pattern qui pilote entièrement datasources et dashboards Grafana depuis Terraform, avec une structure claire plutôt que du JSON brut ou templaté. Dans ce talk, Kevin et Arthur racontent comment on est passés de la souris au terraform apply, les pièges rencontrés en chemin, et ce qu'on a fini par retenir.*

**Fall into Observability: Grafana, SLOs & Kubernetes**
Join us for an evening of practical talks about Grafana, Kubernetes, SLOs, and platform observability.

**Building Workload-Aware SLO Dashboards for Mixed Kubernetes Workloads**
Modern Kubernetes platforms often support very different kinds of workloads, including interactive APIs, long-running reasoning requests, asynchronous processing, and batch jobs. Yet teams frequently monitor them through the same dashboards and reliability thresholds.
In this talk, I’ll show how to build workload-aware SLO dashboards in Grafana by separating latency by workload class, defining workload-specific good and bad events, calculating error-budget burn rates, using multi-window alerting, and correlating reliability degradation with deployments. I’ll also compare a manual PromQL-based approach with Grafana Cloud SLOs using a Synthetic Monitoring example.

**Grafana for Platform Teams: Every Kubernetes Cluster, Every Region, One Dashboard**

Internal developer platforms (IDPs) do not just run workloads. They provision and reconcile entire Kubernetes clusters for other teams across regions. When a platform control plane manages hundreds of those clusters, the SRE question tends to be: which cluster is stuck, at which step, and who owns it?
This talk shows how we built a single Grafana dashboard that answers that question. We’ll cover which telemetry actually matters at fleet scale, including cluster health, ownership, region, version, and capacity, and, just as importantly, what we chose to leave out. Practical, demo-driven, and useful to anyone running Kubernetes-based platforms.

**Live Demo: GCX and Agents**
We’ll also include a live demo using GCX and Agents, bringing the ideas from both talks together with real Grafana workflows and examples.
