This weekly book group is going to run through major literary works, starting with *The Iliad*, *The Odyssey*, and *The Aeneid*.

Sign up for a lively discussion and an excuse to read (or reread) classical works of literature. To facilitate discussion, I will highlight some key points in each of the assigned readings and then we will open the floor for discussion.

The initial schedule is as follows:

Excited to launch the first reading group for philosophical works.

If you enjoy reading and discussing philosophical works, or if you would like to read Plato because he's on your bucket reading list, sign up for our weekly sessions.

We're going to begin with Plato. Tentatively, this is the reading schedule. We will spend a few weeks on *The Republic* and *The Laws* as these are the longest works.

Philosophy Reading Group: Plato

I am delighted to share that the Center at West Park (CWP) is hosting Dalloway Day - a celebration of Virginia Woolf’s 1925 novel *Mrs Dalloway* \- on June 20th\.

As you may know, Woolf set Mrs. Dalloway on a Wednesday in mid-June in 1923, which is technically June 13th. However, tradition allows that Dalloway Day can take place any day within June. We hope that by aiming towards the end of the month, we are able to bring in more Woolf enthusiasts for this celebration!

The event, beginning at 5pm, will feature a mini-conference session (approximately 2-hours) and a film screening (either *Mrs. Dalloway* or *The Hours)*.

If you’re interested in attending the event, we’d love to add you to the mailing list for the event. For now, you can sign up to attend here and I will share more information by the first week of June.
