Come on out and celebrate with me and the Forest Preserves of Cook County during their annual **Stars, Stories, & Smores night.**

There will be plenty of FREE **activities** highlighting the beauty of the stars and the history of the solar system.

Astronomy and Astrology Crafts and games
Starry night hike and peaks through the telescopes. Can you see mars?

We'll be comparing the astronomy and astrology of our Native Americans' history and their stories vs the Euro tales we've heard.

**Special guest: Mama Edie, a professional Orator, will be sharing stories and songs.**

All ages welcome!
Smore by the fire and a nature night hike will take place to hunt for our little brown bats at Dan Ryan Woods.

**Were baaaaack with hosting one of our days AdventureFitTr**ips !!

This time **Panther Training** is venturing out to the **Wisconsin Dells, Devil's Lake** (East Bluff) so we can challenge ourselves to reach the TOP of the summit.

**Transportation:** We have a 24-passenger commercial bus ($10/ea.)
Reservations for a ride in the van is due soon, so we know how many are riding vs are how many are driving. Your seat is reserved when your payment is received. ($10 bus to Wisc. Dell)

**Departure:** 7:00 a.m. from the Dan Ryan Woods Parking lot (free and safe)
**Est. Return:** 5:00 p.m. to Chicago

**What to bring:** lunch/snacks, water, sunscreen, bug spray, phone, binoculars, hat, etc.

**What to wear:** dress for the weather. Suggestions: flexible pants (or shorts), hat, sunglasses, sturdy/hiking shoes, hiking sticks (the trail is rocky), lightweight backpack. You are going to want your hands free,

**The trail terrain:** The train starts on pavement until you get to the head of the trail. Once there, it is ROCKY, dirt, small stones, etc. The trail is UPHILL for approximately 1 mile. It is a slow-steady, beautiful uphill climb.

**Afterward, sit back and relax during the ride home.**
'If time permits, we will take a quick ride downtown to the Wisconsin Dells shopping district for a little shopping and food before heading home.
