Group Swim: Maintaining Your Environment - Q&A

Online event

Join us as Postgres Conference turns 20! We are marking two decades of community-driven database excellence by gathering developers, DBAs, architects, and maintainers from around the globe who build, manage, and scale Postgres in production.

**📍 Venue:** San Jose Marriott, San Jose, California
📅 **Dates:** Apr 21, 2027 – Apr 23, 2027

**Two Decades of Real-World Engineering**
Reaching this milestone is a testament to the strength and resilience of open source engineering. Our community continues to push data systems forward, from core protocol advancements and a thriving extension ecosystem to autovacuum tuning, vector workloads, high availability, and data security.

## **Interested in Speaking? 📢**

Help shape our 20th anniversary program! We invite practitioners, researchers, and community members to submit speaker proposals. Share your hard-won production lessons, architecture strategies, security and compliance insights, post-mortems, or technical benchmarks with our global audience.

## **Conference Tracks**

Our comprehensive, multi-day, multi-track program offers deep technical sessions and holistic professional growth:

* **Essentials:** Fundamental concepts, best practices, and foundational knowledge for new and growing Postgres users, including secure configuration and access control basics..
* **Dev:** Application design, ORMs, query optimization, advanced SQL features, and secure coding practices such as preventing SQL injection and using row-level security.
* **Ops:** High availability, replication, backup & recovery, performance tuning, and infrastructure management, along with hardening, encryption, auditing, and compliance.
* **Extensions:** Extending Postgres functionality, custom extension development, and ecosystem integration, plus security tooling like pgaudit and extension supply chain safety.
* **AI:** Vector embeddings, pgvector, LLM integration, AI-driven data pipelines, data sovereignty, governance, and protecting sensitive data used in AI workloads.
* **Professional Development & Wellness:** Career growth, engineering leadership, mental health, and maintaining work-life balance.
