I am hosting a session for those of us who have been sketching for a while and are looking to refine our process. This is a focused gathering for members of our group who want to move past the basics and explore more complex approaches to light, perspective, and composition. We will spend the afternoon working through specific technical challenges and discussing the nuances that separate a quick sketch from a more deliberate, polished piece.

The goal is to provide a dedicated space for us to practice alongside one another in a relaxed, critique-friendly environment. Whether you are working on architectural depth or trying to master more challenging anatomical proportions, this is a chance to sharpen your skills in the company of other serious sketchers. Please bring your own supplies and a sketchbook you are currently working in. If you have been planning to join us, please RSVP soon so I can make sure we have enough space for everyone to set up comfortably.

We are getting together for the London Ink and Insight Social Hour, a casual afternoon for those of us who still prefer putting pen to paper. Whether you are a dedicated journaler, someone working on a novel, or just a person who appreciates a good fountain pen and a quiet moment, this is a chance to step away from screens and connect with others who share the habit.

The goal is simple: we will spend some time writing in our own notebooks, followed by an informal discussion about our current projects, favorite stationery, or whatever else is on our minds. It is a relaxed, low-pressure environment meant for meeting like-minded people in the city. If you have been looking for a reason to carve out an hour of focus or just want to chat with fellow word-lovers, please come along.

We have limited space at the cafe, so if you are planning to join us, please let us know by clicking the RSVP button. It helps us make sure we have enough tables set aside for everyone.

We are getting together for a relaxed session focused on exploring the rhythm and flow of lines in our drawing practice. This event is for anyone in the group who enjoys experimenting with how simple marks can create movement and structure on a page. We will spend some time observing the architecture and natural shapes around Buffalo, then head back to our sketchbooks to interpret those visuals through our own unique linework.

Whether you are just starting to experiment with drawing or you have been sketching for years, this is a low-pressure space to share ideas and learn from one another. We will keep things informal and focus on the process rather than the final result. If you are looking to get out of the house, meet a few fellow local artists, and spend an afternoon focusing on your creative habits, we would love to have you join us. Please let us know if you can make it by clicking the button below so we have an idea of how many people to expect.
