IT'S NOT WHAT YOU THINK and Yes, we are still a very family friendly group! 😊 The event is put together by a local 4x4 Club in Vegas and is an awesome extended weekend getaway Adventure that attracts hundreds of attendees each year! We get to enjoy three days of off-roading on trails of various difficulty from laid back level 3 all the way to 8. Between trail runs they’ll keep us fed and entertained with vendor booths, spectator events and a concert! This is also a great **family friendly** event with activities scheduled for kids of all ages.

Registration is $85 per vehicle plus another $40 to $75 camping fee (per the entire event). You can bring your RV, rooftop tent or just a regular ol’ ground tent. Closest hotel is [NorthShore Inn](https://northshoreinnatlakemead.com/) , about 10 minutes’ drive from the fairgrounds if you don’t want to rough it out.

For our last Adventure that weekend, assuming our Jeeps are still operational and we have the energy, we will conquer [Rocky Gap Badge of Honor Trail](https://www.trailsoffroad.com/US/nevada/trails/979-rocky-gappotato-ridge-road) on Sunday morning just with Valley Jeepsters.

Last year, we had 5 Valley Jeepsters attending this Adventure and it was an absolute blast. The food, the trails the people, the activities, it was by far THE BEST Club sponsored event I’ve ever attended!!!

Since the Hump N Bump is back to back with Mojave Overlanding Adventure, I will spend the week of November 2nd in Laughlin instead of making a 4-hour drive there and back. I will be staying at the AVI casino. The casino hotel is less than $50/night with taxes during the week! If you plan on doing both Adventures, you’re welcome to join me there. It’d be a working remote week for me but I’m usually done by 3:00sh so we can hit couple of trails around Laughlin during the week in late afternoons!

Get ready for an epic adventure, Valley Jeepersters! Join us as we take on the **Rocky Gap Trail** — one of Nevada’s official **Jeep Badge of Honor** trails — just outside Las Vegas. This rugged route through the stunning Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area offers challenging terrain, tight canyon climbs, and incredible desert views. Whether you’re chasing a new badge or just love a good off-road challenge, this run promises great company, scenic stops, and plenty of adrenaline! Also, the views in the Red Rock Canyon are phenomenal rivaling most of the trails in Sedona! Get your Jeep ready, pack your lunch and bring your spirit of Adventure — it’s time to conquer Rocky Gap Trail together!!

This is a solid level 5 trail with a challenging rock garden to go through followed by steep climbs and descents on a narrow shelf road with sharp turns and plenty of optional obstacles to keep even the most built-up rigs entertained. This is a one-way trail approximately 8 miles long that will take us 4 to 5 hours to conquer. The trail predominantly consists of rock gravel and rock sections. We recommend 33-inch tires and at least one locker to conquer it. This trail will be led by one of our newest co-leaders David.

As always, please arrive with a **full tank of gas** at the designated meeting spot and be ready for a prompt departure. If you’re running late, please let us know by posting or messaging in the Meetup App. If your plans change and you’re unable to attend, **please promptly remove yourself** from the event so that others on the standby list can take your place.

We will Meet at the entrance of the Rocky Gap Trail, see coordinates below. It is about an hour south of the Hump-N-Bump event.

Embark on an unforgettable 2 day off-road journey through the rugged and breathtaking landscapes of the Mojave Desert. Our Overlanding Adventure will take you across 140 miles of remote, unpaved trails, where you’ll conquer long sandy washes, rocky passes, and scenic river crossings. Along the way, discover hidden relics of the Old West, Native American petroglyphs, and abandoned outposts that tell the story of pioneers who once braved this untamed land. Get ready to test your skills, soak in the beauty of endless desert vistas, and camp under a sky filled with millions of stars and create memories that will last a lifetime!

Most of the trip is easy but few locations will require four-wheel drive. We will start in Laughlin, NV and finish near Barstow, CA. We will be camping one night on this trip with an optional night at the end of the trail (Afton Campground). Please book accommodations in Laughlin, NV the night before for an early start the next morning! We will be crossing into California, please make sure to follow ALL California rules regarding firearms possession!

Good guides include Mojave Road Guide, by Dennis G. Gasebier, Mojave Desert Heritage and cultural Association, and Tails Illustrated map 256 – Mojave National Preserve.

This is a multi-day Adventure without access to modern amenities such as bathrooms, food or water. You must be self-sufficient and bring your own supplies! A lot of preparation goes into putting these types of trips together which requires accurate headcount. If you sign up and your plans change, please remove yourself AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. Furthermore, no shows will risk expulsion from Valley Jeepsters!!!

Join us for an unforgettable Valley Jeepsters Adventure in the stunning Anza-Borrego Desert of California! We’ll be tackling scenic trails, exploring unique desert landscapes, and enjoying off-road camaraderie under wide-open skies. Whether you're a seasoned rock crawler or just looking to explore the backcountry with fellow Valley Jeepsters, this trip promises epic views, challenging terrain, and plenty of good times. Pack your gear, bring plenty of water, and let’s make some memories in one of SoCal’s most iconic off-road destinations!

Anza Borrego is phenomenal this time of the year. The scenery includes sandy washes, narrow canyons with steep walls, mud caves, and sweeping vistas. The average daytime temperatures are in mid-70’s, and the wildflower season is March-April. We’ll be traversing many sandy trails with a few moderately challenging obstacles. For those interested and only if time permits, we will conquer [BoH Pinyon Mountain Road](https://www.trailsoffroad.com/US/california/trails/759-pinyon-mountain-road).

If you are carrying, please make sure you familiarize yourself with all the related California laws pertaining to this subject!!!

The trails we’ll be traversing can be conquered in a stock Jeep with offroad tires. Pinyon Mountain optional trail is level five and would require 2+ inch lift and at least one locker.

LODGING:
We will be camping at the Agua Caliente County Park Campground arriving Thursday March 26th and departing Sunday March 29th. Please make your reservation ASAP as these tend to fill up quickly. Cancelations can be made up to 72 hours in advance with only $8 penalty fee. RV spots, tent campsites and cabins are available for reservations. Thermal swimming pools are open on the weekends – so bring you swimsuit. There are also pay showers. It can be windy at the campground - make sure you avoid sites 127-130. The less windy tent sites are south of Agua Caliente Campground Road. The great view sites for an RV with full hook-up are 97-104. There is limited food to be purchased near the campground and there are no restaurants. Bring firewood and groceries.

We will be off-roading on Sunday during the day so it may make sense to make a reservation for Sunday night if you want to spend an extra night there. Russ and Alan have booked RV spots #99 and #100 respectively. You can make RV and tent camping reservations online via the link below:
