Traditional “Surya Namaskaras” or Sun Salutations, are an Ashtanga Vinyasa Krama. Sun Salutations are a dynamic sequence of yoga postures performed in a flowing rhythm to honor and harness the energy of the sun. Rooted in ancient Vedic traditions, this practice combines asanas (poses), pranayama (breath control), and mindfulness, creating a moving meditation that awakens the body and mind. Each round involves a harmonious blend of forward bends, backbends, and lunges that improve flexibility, build strength, stimulate circulation, and enhance respiratory capacity. Beyond physical benefits, Surya Namaskaras help center the mind, reduce stress, and cultivate a sense of gratitude and vitality for the day ahead.
