Gravel Ride Stampede to Loyalton
Stampede Reservoir, 39°27'59"N, 120°7'43"W, Boca, CA, USThis is a gravel ride. Our supplemental insurance does not apply. We must sign the usual releases but we are not insured by our road insurance.
This ride begins at the little rest spot on Stampede Dam. We meet at 10:15am for sign in and preparation for a 10:30am departure.
This ride mainly uses Henness Pass Road and Smithneck Road. These seem to be tamer than some roads in the area. The objective is to ride from Stampede Reservoir to Loyalton. The course goes to the location of the grocery story in Loyalton where we can find things to refill water bottles and use the restrooms.
The ride is about 60% gravel and 40% road.
