Product Operations- is it worth the invest?

The discipline of Product Operations has evolved in recent years, supporting Product departments in driving operational excellence throughout the entire Product Development lifecycle by e.g. introducing beneficial processes and frameworks, establishing means & routines for alignment and planning and much, much more.

But wait...isn't this already part of the responsibilities of the Product leader?!? Well, as often in Product: it depends ;-)
