[Networking/Group Discussion]

Welcome to another online networking event of Product Community Greece!
Connecting with other Product Managers and knowledge sharing are core objectives of our community.

Networking can sometimes feel awkward, add the online element to the mix and it might feel harder than it should! To make connecting with other Product Managers easier we will have a topic and a list of questions to guide a group discussion in small groups of 7-8 people.

How will it work?

  1. We will provide a suggested topic and a list of questions to get the discussion going.
  2. We will create smaller breakout rooms of 7-8 people to which you will be randomly assigned.
  3. Make sure to have your mic and camera open so that you can introduce yourself and participate in the discussion.
  4. Half-way through we will mix up the groups again, so that you can have the chance to meet more people.

Do I have to participate in the discussion?

Yes, this will be a group discussion in smaller groups of 7-8 people with the objective to get to know each other and share knowledge, it is not a webinar presentation.
So make sure to have your mic and camera open (not to worry, none of us is super fancy at this point), pour yourself a cup of tea or grab a beer and dive in!

What's the topic?

Metrics in product discovery & prioritization

On our last webinar "Metrics as a driver of product discovery and prioritization: Combining strategic & tactical thinking, Pricefox" (watch the recording here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85y7aMix0Zk) we had the chance to learn from Pricefox's example on how to use metrics as a driver to understand customer needs deeper and how to use those metrics in prioritizing initiatives.

In this networking event we'll have the chance to discuss in groups and share our own experience to learn from each other. Suggested questions for the discussion:

  • What kind of metrics do you use to measure success of your product? Why and how did you choose these specific metrics?

  • Do you set goals for these metrics for every quarter (or other timeframe)? If yes, what is your process for setting these goals? What % of your roadmap would you say is committed to initiatives to hit those goals?

  • Do you estimate the impact that individual initiatives/features will have on metrics when prioritizing them? (e.g. improvement on engagement, more users, revenue etc.) Do you have a specific framework/system to estimate impact and to incorporate it in your prioritization?

  • What approaches do you use, in order to discover the different reasons behind low performance in specific metrics?

  • How much effort do you spend on metrics monitoring and reporting and how often do you do it? What tools do you use?
