Product Council Events are broken into two acts:

Act I: For the first act, we introduce a product owner or manager who would like feedback from our Product Council about a specific product challenge. Our Product Council consists of three experienced product owners who serve as an anchor for the ensuing conversations.

Act II: The second act introduces a second business who’s product owner is given an opportunity to showcase a particular product or feature they feel their team has executed particularly well or solved in a unique way.

Challenge Presenter: Andrena

James Smits, Co-Founder and COO, and Nick De Veaux, CTO will present a challenge from Andrena—a wireless Internet provider that partners with real estate owners and managers to bring high-speed Internet to their tenants and the surrounding geography for $25 per month. Today, Andrena is live in Princeton and Hoboken but is adding more locations soon. James previously worked in venture capital and invested in 50+ seed-stage startups over 6 years and Nick worked as a Data Scientist at the Simons Foundation working on applying machine learning to build network models of gene regulation, and was the Bioinformatics Team Lead at Recombine.

Solution Presenter: Looker

Nick Caldwell is the Chief Product Officer at Looker, creating a powerful platform for building modern data experiences. Previously he spent two years as the VP of Engineering at Reddit and 13 years at Microsoft. He holds computer science and electrical engineering degrees from MIT and an MBA from UC Berkeley. He's a board member of /dev/color, a non-profit whose mission is to maximize the impact of Black software engineers.

Ryan Hefner
Formerly the Director of Engineering at Vimeo and Senior Interactive Developer/Designer at Fantasy Interactive (Fi), Ryan is an experienced application engineer and designer, focused on designing and developing useful and usable products and services.

Alison Kolodny
Current Product Manger at JW Player, Alison has had a multifaceted career with a track record of innovation and success. Previously she was a PM at Frankly Video Platform where she lead the redesign of their CMS video editor.
