## Guests:

Rachel Climans (https://www.linkedin.com/in/rachelclimans)
Rachel got her start in Product Management right out of university. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University where she took a keen interest in entrepreneurship. After graduating in 2019 began her career in Product at Axonify, a high growth B2B SaaS company in the e-learning space. She excels at market research, empathizing with customers, and working cross functionally with teams across development, sales and marketing to solve meaningful problems. Rachel has endless energy and is insatiably curious, always asking if a product or feature should be built not just if it could be. She is level 3 Pragmatic Marketing Certified and will be taking level four this year with a focus on pricing new products. Outside of work she loves to do anything active from the gym to yoga and has recently started a women’s golf apparel company called Birdie Golf Shop with the mission to make it easier for more women to start and stick with golf.

Mel Hungate (https://www.linkedin.com/in/melhungate/)
Mel Hungate has been a Product Manager for 4 years and is currently working at Magnet Forensics as the PM for Artifacts. In this role, she prioritizes what mobile and computer apps the product should support so that law enforcement and corporate agencies can perform digital investigations. To build features within her product, she has to keep a pulse on the features of other products - What new features did Apple release in its latest OS? What new form of decryption has Signal introduced? How often are officers running into cases involving cryptocurrency? When Mel graduated from Computer Engineering, she knew that the coding life was not for her, and was attracted to Product Management for its intersection of business, technology, and user experience. Outside of work, Mel runs Marketing for the Central Frederick Neighbourhood Association, she takes any excuse to do Arts & Crafts, and loves playing Ultimate Frisbee.

Laura Hanna (https://www.linkedin.com/in/laurakhanna)
Laura Hanna attended the University of Guelph in 2008-2012, where she earned her degree studying Real Estate and Housing and became even more addicted to HGTV marathons. Post graduation, she experienced a variety of different roles in the real estate industry - from residential sales, to home staging and decor, to new housing development across North America. Laura is currently working as a Product Manager at Axonify; a clear 180 degree turn from her past experiences! Still a major real estate enthusiast, Laura keeps her head in the market while discovering how technology can continue to make our lives easier on the daily.

Jared Robinson (https://www.linkedin.com/in/jaredmrobinson)
Jared Robinson is a Product Manager with experience in financial and marketplace spaces. He graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Computer Science and a Bachelor of Business Administration. Having completed internships in marketing, sales, project management, and product management, he chose to pursue product management post-university. In his most recent role at Toronto-based startup Hockeystick, Jared’s team built products to help entrepreneurs connect with funders and to optimize the search for startup funding. Outside of work you can catch Jared on a flight to explore a new destination, or in a nearby rock climbing gym figuring out how to bat hang.
