- Candidates jumping straight into product ideas instead of showing real product thinking.
- Hiring managers (myself included) are dismissing candidates who lean too heavily on frameworks and certificates instead of demonstrating product craft.
The truth?
- There are no silver bullets in Product Management.
- Certifications don’t get you hired.
- Courses are only 20% of the learning. The other 80% comes from doing the work.
- Experience comes before the title. Always.
