We're hosting a Meetup on functional programming in TypeScript and we'd love to have you join us! We have put together an excellent program:
Talk 1) Why and how to program functionally in TypeScript
Speaker: Daniel Steigerwald - Author of Este.js and Funemployed in a wooden cabin in the garden
Description:
Functional programming is neither ramda nor lodash. Functional programming is monads, but you don't have to understand them to use them productively.
And why all this? Because I guarantee you that once you have the aha effect, you won't want to program any other way. I don't know anyone who understands functional programming and then doesn't want to write everything this way.
Why? Because functional programming is a way of writing and structuring code that helps the programmer immensely to be able to navigate, extend, refactor, and test the code. How is this possible? Come and see. No slides, just some links, and live coding.
