Hello Product Community!

Hope you're all well and Happy New Year!

We're back with our first instalment of Product London for 2025 on Thursday 20th February from 5.30pm, hosted by BT!

There will be 4 speakers across the evening:

Ben Terett (CEO of Public Digital) with "So you think you're special?"

Synopsis: Every organisation tends to believe it’s different or special, facing unique challenges. Organisation are large groups of people, and they have all the same problems. Come and join Ben while he shares his experience on how to steer transformation in complex environments.

James Gunaca (Product Coach) with "Manage your career like a PM"

Synopsis: Product Managers learn a wide range of skills and use various mechanisms to deliver value and outcomes for businesses and customers alike. These skills and mechanisms adapt incredibly well to managing a career in Product Management. In this talk, you'll learn how to apply your skills as a Product Manager to achieve meaningful career outcomes.

James has a 20+ year career in Product Management and Digital Marketing, working as a Product Leader at companies like Amazon and ExpressVPN across the United States and Europe. He’s built and led multiple Product teams who have delivered global 0-to-1 hardware products like Amazon Echo with the Alexa AI assistant. James now coaches Product Managers, on a mission to make better products for the world by helping professionals build and grow their careers in Product Management.

Edel Barrett (Tech Tribe Lead at BT) with "On a journey to bring tech and people together to change how we build product in BT"

Synopsis: We are building products together and exploring the true cross functional collaboration while keeping the customer at the centre of all we do. This is a continuous learning process both from technology & people perspective. This is an opportunity to showcase some of the challenges, learning and opportunities we have un-earthed so far in our teams.

Christopher Sidebottom (Principle Engineer at ARM) with "Continuously Delivering Results: The Power of Accountability and Teamwork"

Synopsis: A case study in how we transformed the way we built. Engineers took ownership, testing their own code, deploying it themselves, and making releases a priority. No more waiting on testing or sign off; feature flags, blue/green rollouts, and real-time monitoring put control in engineers hands. Mistakes? Plenty. But taking responsibility made us sharper, faster, and more innovative. We automated everything, released any time, and failed forwards.

Looking forward to seeing you there and getting 2025 kicked off with our first meet-up of the year!

Alex
