In Person - Service Blueprint Workshop
Details
For the October edition of ProductTank we're going to get hands on with some Service Design tools courtesy of Rapid 7 and Ruth Ilesanmi.
Per the community vote - We're going to deep dive into the world of Service Blueprints!
Service Blueprints: see the whole machine, not just the shopfront
A service blueprint maps what your customer/user experiences and everything happening behind the scenes to make it work: the people, systems, handoffs and policies they never see. Think of it as a customer journey map with the back office switched on.
Why bother?
- Find where things actually break. It's usually in a handoff between teams, not on a screen.
- Get everyone looking at the same picture. Product, design, ops and engineering stop arguing from their own corner.
- Stop polishing the UI when the problem is three layers down.
- See the real cost of "simple" features before you commit to them.
What you'll do on the night
You won't sit and listen to a talk about blueprints. You'll build one in small groups, using a real product or service.
You'll leave with a method you can use at work the next day.
No experience needed. If you've ever wondered why a "small change" took six months, come along.
- Doors open at 17:30 for networking and refreshments
- Event starts at 18:00
