Jacqui Venter

👤 - I am an experienced Lead Product Manager and Service Designer, specialising in behavioural economics - that is hacking humans with altruistic outcomes firmly in mind. I have a successful track record of innovation, strategy and delivering products across a range of sectors in several countries. My favourite product management places are the engine room (feature team) and the coal face (customers and users).

📢 - Why do people do what they do? There is a myriad of behavioural science, psychology and neuroscience behind what drives us, but how do we use that knowledge to change the behaviour of customers, users and colleagues? This talk will provide a quick glance at the science, and a longer look at its practical application through examples that worked, and those that didn't.

Matt Jukes

👤 - Matt is a veteran of the UK digital government / civic tech scene who has been stumbling through his career since the late 1990s - an era where he was proud to call himself a Webmaster.
These days he is best known for doing a weekly newsletter consisting of digital jobs in UK public service, blogging like it is 2003 and having a seemingly endless supply of laptop stickers to share out…but has also worked at the Office for National Statistics, the BBC, mySociety, the Department for Business and Trade and most recently the Government Digital Service.

📢 - I'll talk about what being a product manager in public service is like, why it is different than elsewhere and why talking about Marty Cagan in interviews is a red flag.
