Wasif is a seasoned Products Leader and Expert with a focus on Product and Service Delivery across multiple sectors such as Financial Services, Start-up/SME, Telecommunications, Third-Party Logistics and UK Public Sector.
He is currently a Principal Product Lead for GenAI and Data Solutions at Ascent (https://www.ascent.io/), a leading-edge Technology Consulting firm focussed on delivering AI, Data and Cloud Solutions in partnership with Microsoft. Prior to joining Ascent, he ran his own business (https://v2kaizen.com/) providing product focussed consulting, coaching and training where he ran 100+ classes training 1000+ professionals on Agile Product Management leveraging the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). He is a Domain Expert and Mentor for well-known venture lab and incubators, Carbon13 (https://carbonthirteen.com/) and AI Forge (https://www.aiforge.org/) respectively.
He previously worked for the start-up Unmanned Life (now known as Nexumous) as Chief Operating Officer and Head of Products delivering on its initial two robotic solution offerings and successfully growing the business almost 4-fold after securing it’s very first term sheet which snow balled into a \~£2m seed investment. He also worked for the largest retail bank in the UK, Lloyds as their Head of Digital Customer Insights and as Management Consultant for Capgemini and Serco Consulting.
He is an alumnus of the Shott Scale Up Programme at the Royal Academy of Engineering (https://enterprisehub.raeng.org.uk/members/wasif-mehdi/) and holds an Executive MBA (with Distinction) from Bayes Business School (formerly known as Cass Business School).
