Real-Life Applications of Natural Language Processing (NLP)

Voice assistants, automated customer service agents, sentiment analysis, and text generation are just some of the applications created using Natural Language Processing. Businesses from a diverse range of industries have begun to utilize NLP to gain insight, increase competition and understand customer behavior. NLP is steadily on the rise and is said that NLP software might reach $22.3 billion by 2025.

During this meet-up, we will discuss the fundamentals of NLP and how it is being used by businesses to minimize the ever-growing information overload we face in every industry, how to utilize this unstructured data to our advantage.

John will share a project with us that uses text analysis and text generation that helped him automate the job-seeking process. The program creates a cover letter based on the skills contained in the job description.

John has taught math for a few years in New York and moved to Cayman to teach at a local private school. He planned on staying in Cayman for two years, which was seven years ago.

John fell in love with building programs and was drawn to Data Science. It has become a passion of his. He specializes in building online applications using Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, and machine learning.
