Get closer to your users - Qualitative Interviews

Hi Product Folks,

We are excited to announce our March Meetup happening on 24th at 6:30pm.

Having a deeper understanding of your end-users is the key to delivering a product that they will fall in love with. Qualitative interviews are a great way to get closer to your end-users, get to know their needs, wants, aspirations and lived experiences, and ultimately gain meaningful and actionable insights to shape your product design process.

Piyum is a UX consultant with a strong background in software engineering. He recently completed his PhD in Human Computer Interaction at Arizona State University. Currently, he works as the Research Lead at XD Studio, an experience design consultancy based in Phoenix, Arizona which he co-founded in 2020.

In this session we will discuss:
-how qualitative research can influence your product development process
-the art of conducting an effective qualitative interview
-methods to extract meaningful insights from interview data.

As a quick preparation, we would like you to think about the the following before joining the session:

• a recent instance where you felt that you need to know more about your end-users
• how do you think that knowing your end-users helps your process in that instance
