Hello Product People !

We are back after short summer break and we are happy to invite you to the next event in 2023 during which you will hear intresting talks followed by networking part.

Our first guests will be Anna Wojcieszczak and Roland Rychlik who will talk about Design Ops Management

Design Ops Management is a relatively new function that is increasingly appearing in product organizations focused on optimizing project work and improving the quality of their products and design services. The Design Ops Manager is responsible not only for ensuring the proper flow of information within the design community, providing the right tools, and structuring design processes but also serves as an ambassador for the design team within the entire organization - raising overall awareness among employees about the activities of the design team and design thinking framework. The aim of this presentation is to showcase the working model of the Design Team, in which Design Ops Management contributes to the enhancement of design quality and project work - fostering synergy between quality, creativity and business strategy.

BIO:
Anna is the Design Operations & Culture Manager at Brainly, working at the Design Center of Excellence supporting a group of 15+ designers. She is an experienced service designer, business trainer, mediator, as well as lecturer at the Jagiellonian University, SWPS University, and WSEI. Anna is specialized in design thinking processes, business development strategies, and operational excellence, and she is passionate about product design, teamwork, and education. Anna has experience working both on the side of product companies, creative agencies, and public entities. Personally, she is a huge cinephile, cat & dog mum, and sea lover.

BIO:
Roland is an Agile Coach at Interia.pl, working within the Product Development Department. Before this role, he was a Design Operations Coordinator at Brainly, where he was engaged in refining processes and boosting team collaboration. His professional journey also includes significant roles such as a Traffic Manager at Admind agency and an Innovation Manager at Creative Labs. Roland is passionate about agile practices, lean innovation, and efficient product management. When he's not working, he enjoys exploring Krakow, sharing meals with friends, and biking amidst nature.

Our second speaker will be Beata Kupiec who will tell us about her Product Operations Lessons Learned

BIO:
Beata Kupiec, Director, Product Center of Excellence, Brainly
I am a classical philologist by degree (yes, non-tech degree 😊 ) however for over 13 years I have been successfully building software products and leading product management teams.

My motto: „Build products for People and with People” and I focus on addressing customers’ needs and solving their problems from one side as well as making sure there’s an effective communication, collaboration and alignment across all stakeholders I work with: product trios- engineering, design and PMs, business owners, sales, marketing, support teams and others.
I say: “sharing is caring” that’s why among others I organize (as many of you know) ProductTanks in Krakow (since 2016!) and give lectures on “Effective Communication in Product Teams” at User Experience & Product Design at AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow
