It's time for a new meetup and this time we have a thematic that is one of the most important for everybody that builds products: Data Visualisation. Understanding all the data is essencial to make the best product decisions.

We invited a great first speaker, that has lots of experience in this area to share it with us and we will do it also at a brand new office space in Lisbon: Farfetch ! Thank you for hosting our meetup :)

Talk: Data Never Lies.

Talk Summary: "Nowadays data is a prerequisite for any pitch to trial, ramp-up or sunset product features. Important discussions on product direction are usually informed by some sort of chart or visual display of A/B test results, reports on AAARR metrics, NPS surveys, etc.

This is great, data should be an objective factor guiding product decisions (alongside others). However, we are often victim to our own biases when interpreting data and when presenting it to others.

In this talk, I'll explore common pitfalls of data visualisation and provide guidelines on how to spot distortions in how the data is presented, how to prevent them, and how to design visualisations that are simple, effective, and fit for purpose.
