ProductTank Newcastle Build-a-thon

Hello ProductTank Newcastle community,

Our long-anticipated ProductTank Newcastle Build-a-thon is finally here! 🚀
Over the last few meetups, we’ve been exploring what it means to become AI-native product builders — developing the skills, tools and mindset needed to build products differently in the age of AI.
Now it’s time to put those skills into practice.
Join us for an evening of hands-on building, experimentation and collaboration, where we’ll spend the evening working on projects and using AI-powered tools to turn ideas into something real.
You don’t need to have any idea you arrive. We will be providing you with some use cases to work on.
The aim is to learn by building, experiment with what AI can make possible, and have some fun along the way.
It promises to be a great evening, and we’d love to have you there!

💻 What to bring
To get the most out of the Build-a-thon, please come prepared with:

• Your personal laptop — you’ll need this for the hands-on building session.
• An AI-powered coding/building tool — we’ll be using AI extensively during the session, so we recommend having an active subscription to an LLM-based coding tool. Tools that should work well include Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Lovable and Replit.
• Set up a personal GitHub account if you don’t already have one, and make sure you’re able to push code to GitHub. Instructions for setting up your GitHub account can be found here: Github Account Setup
