Innovating and embracing chaos: the unfiltered story of Korion Health
Details
Come hear from Anna Li, the CEO and co-founder of Korion Health, as she shares her story "Innovating from Lived Experience and Embracing Chaos."
Korion Health is the breakout Pittsburgh company that represented the US and won the international $1M Hult Prize in 2024. Anna started Korion when she was a second-year medical student in the joint Pitt-CMU MD-PhD program as she was witnessing patients face barriers to in-person care during the pandemic. While Anna had no business background at the time, she quickly realized that larger scale changes would be needed to get necessary tools for patients for their care. But she couldn't do it alone - it takes a village, and that's exactly what Pittsburgh community members did when they heard about what Anna was building. Hear the behind-the-scenes story of how Korion went from a small student project to the face of Pittsburgh (literally - she was on the front page of Pitt Magazine) in a story of university-based innovation, the power of our community, and a good dose of humor along the way.
