Dwie różne drogi, dwa działające produkty i konkretne wyniki.

## Piotr Sobczyk (Senior Product Manager, GOG.com): The discovery and evolution of GOG Patrons

## Szymon Kubiak (co-founder i CRO, inStreamly): Stop building features, start building business models

Szymon stawia tezę, którą część sali usłyszy jak groźbę: New Product Development będzie coraz mniej o featurach, a coraz bardziej o biznesie. W świecie, w którym technologię buduje się coraz łatwiej, product manager bez biznesowego myślenia będzie bezrobotny.

Strateg, marketer, innowator i przedsiębiorca.

# #31 ProductTank: How GOG and inStreamly Discover New Products

This month we're building new products, except none of them started from a blank page. Both speakers found a new product hiding inside a business that already existed, and both got there without bolting on more features. From opposite ends of the building.

Piotr listened to what GOG's own products were quietly telling him, and built up from the ground.

Szymon stepped back, looked at the whole model from above, and tore out the part that only ever cost money.

Same starting constraint, opposite directions, both live with real numbers. Most of us are still bolting features onto the old product and calling it a roadmap.

## Piotr Sobczyk (Senior Product Manager, GOG.com): The discovery and evolution of GOG Patrons

How does a tip jar turn into a mission-fuelled membership? At GOG it started as discovery, picking up signals scattered across their own products, the ones most of us close with "interesting, let's revisit in Q3." Piotr walks through how GOG Patrons actually came together from the bottom up: the surveys, the focus groups, the awkward pricing questions, first-year data, and an honest look at what worked and what didn't.

Piotr builds products at GOG that connect communities of gamers with the mission of preserving classic games. He came out of digital marketing leadership, and beyond Patrons he owns Dreamlist, which has already gathered over 15 million votes for games to save. (That's more agreement than most teams reach on a single Jira ticket.) The product he'll talk about was living inside GOG before anyone started building it.

## Szymon Kubiak (co-founder & CRO, inStreamly): Stop building features, start building business models

As a young startup we had a brilliant plan for scaling: copy the "Poland model" everywhere. New country, new local team. It worked for five minutes. After that it just cost money. So instead of adding people, we rebuilt the product from the top down: from a single marketplace into the technology other people now use to build their own marketplaces and their own businesses.

Szymon's thesis, which part of the room may hear as a threat: New Product Development is less about features and more about the business. In a world where technology gets easier to build every year, a product manager without business thinking ends up unemployed.

A strategist, marketer, innovator and entrepreneur, Szymon's been in digital for 16+ years. He co-founded inStreamly and grew it from zero to 15 markets, 200,000+ registered creators, a 50-person team, and two funding rounds worth USD 2.6M. He still runs it as Chief Revenue Officer. His new product is the same company, redrawn from above.

## After the talks: small-group tables

We split into a few smaller topic tables. Bring the problem you've been stuck on for three sprints, or the thing that actually worked at your place (that you still can't fully explain). The goal is an evening you leave with a concrete answer from someone who's been through it, not another folder of notes you'll never open.
