Fast forward 11 years, she’s now Senior Product Manager for BBC iPlayer currently working to prepare for younger audiences abandoning TV aerials by bringing the full live tv experience to the streaming service. Annie will be covering the importance of managing your bias when building technology products and what she’s learned about trying to adopt the continuous discovery method in a large organisation.

19:30-19:55 Daniel Merriman, Product Owner at Rasberry Pi: ‘Building Relationships as a Remote PM’

The entire digital team at the Raspberry Pi Foundation, including Product Managers, work remotely. Given the importance of building strong relationships to the PM role, there's often an assumption that working remotely makes that part of the job more difficult. When you're not bumping into stakeholders at the coffee machine or making jokes over lunch, surely it's harder to get buy in when you need it most? This talk discusses some of the challenges that come with being a remote PM, but also argues that remote working is a red herring when it comes to making meaningful relationships. Building meaningful relationships doesn't need you on site–it needs you to be "good at building meaningful relationships". This talk will then explore some approaches for making relationships with stakeholders and team members meaningful, whether you're on site or remote.

20:00-20:25 Phillip Perks, Product Owner at Sky: Working in 2 Speeds – Agile in Waterfall World
