This months ProductTank is going to be about "Every product is a service waiting to happen" and is curated by Daniel Harris of Fjord.
Speakers this month are:
Tim Johns, Product Manager, British Gas Hive
Tim Johns is a product manager for Hive - British Gas’ corporate start-up. He has been responsible for the development of the Hive Active Heating service, launched in October last year. Prior to his current role Tim was a commercial manager of smart metering within British Gas.
Tim will be discussing how innovative companies are acting on the trend of turning increasingly commoditised products into value-adding services by seeking to better understand their customers, embracing new technology and applying great digital design. Tim will be discussing his experiences as a Product Manager in Hive - the corporate start-up within British Gas who launched their connected heating service last year - as well as the trends that are inspiring his work.

Max Gadney, Founder & Design Directory, After the Flood
Max Gadney is the leader of After The Flood, a data design agencydeveloping strategy and services and creating digital products and film. Prior to this, Max was at the BBC as Head of Design for BBC News Online and BBC TV digital product commissioning.
Max will be describing the reality of bringing services into existence – in spite of the complex organisational structures and processes that we are required to navigate. Through the lens of his significant experience of working with major public and private organisations, he will outline some of the pitfalls for making services happen – including the consulting, technical, design and most importantly, people skills required to orchestrate great services.
