AI in Action: How AI is Revolutionizing Your Day and Role as a Product Manager

AI is seemingly everywhere. If a product hasn't already incorporated AI features, it's a solid bet that they have them on their roadmap for the next 6 months. The AI value prop is that it can "super-charge" the people who use it, speeding up certain tasks, removing others, creating efficiencies, and creating more time to do the important tasks. Quite the promise.

This program is an opportunity for AI thinkers, and PMs in our community to talk about how AI is actually impacting PMs' lives now, what AI tools are most common and most useful to PMs, what skills do PMs need to develop in order to use AI effectively, and most importantly what will AI's impact be on our day-to-day roles.

The program seeks to answer the following questions:

• How should you think about incorporating AI in your products?
• What can AI do to add value to PMs?
• What are the tools or skills that PMs should be aware of?
• What can a PM offload via AI?
• What are the pitfalls of doing that?
• What could AI do for PMs that it shouldn’t?

Speakers:
Jean-Luc David: technology leader with years of experience working in the software development industry. He is currently teaching AI & Emerging Technologies at Centennial College. Jean-Luc has worked for companies such as Microsoft, eBay, Kijiji, Telus, Netflix, and many others. He is currently building an app called Streams, a full-featured IPTV Player launched on the Apple App Store. Features include Picture in Picture, casting using Airplay, and support for high definition and 4k streams.

Sharon (Shaghayegh) Shahrokhi Tehrani: Is currently a Product Manager at CBC, Sharon leads the development of a cutting-edge data, ML, and AI platform. This platform empowers content teams to make data-driven decisions, ensuring the delivery of relevant, diverse, and personalized content to audiences. Recognized as one of Canada’s Top 25 Women in AI, Sharon is also a key advocate for bridging academia and industry to foster innovative solutions.
