Product Tank 17 - 300 seconds of fame

Details

It's time for our second annual Lightning talk (https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CC4QFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FLightning_talk&ei=_DhtU_3pKMbM0AX6_YGwAg&usg=AFQjCNEsESJ1FnOeqCthQt976qlTM2_50Q&bvm=bv.66330100,d.d2k) extravaganza—5 minute presentations from ProductTank members on a subject related to product management. Last year, topics ranged from Infectious Products to Humanising Design (https://www.meetup.com/ProductTank-Edinburgh/events/111110842/).

Lightning talks are fantastic for 3 reasons:

  1. We learn about the skills and talents of our peers in the room (Did you know you're standing next to the guy who founded X Company? Or that she's been product managing knock-out apps for 5 years?)

  2. They're perfect if you've never spoken before - anyone can survive (and thrive in!) 300 seconds of public speaking. That's a fact.

  3. As a speaker, it's a chance to showcase something you've been working on or thinking about. Muchos kudos.
