How to come across as an expert in the first minutes of speaking

Details
How do you get an audience to believe you are the expert they are looking for within the first few minutes of speaking or with the first question they ask.
In my experience most speakers know what they are talking about, but actually lack 2 things:
1. The ability to show that they are an expert and not 'just another one of those....(coaches who believe they know or someone who just had experience but no real ability)...'
2. Actually be an expert - because they do not know the phrasing and words which their audiences needs to hear to demonstrate they really do 'know'.
And so it is in many ways a double edge skill.
One cannot show they are an expert, but by learning how to show you are, actually become that expert.
How do you know actually show that you do know what you're talking about - not just in your own mind but in the mind of your audience.
Most University lecturers for example believe they know what they are talking about. But if you've ever watched one, do you feel they really do know?
They did some tests once upon a time where they showed a 10 second videos of various lecturers speaking - but with the sound turned off.
Do you know that based on 10 silent seconds, when people were asked to rate that lecturer - their rating was actually close to the actual students who attended that lecturers classes for the whole semester?
What you know and how well you communicate it is ingrained in your presence.
Learn what it takes to demonstrate your expertise and how well you can really help your people without the first moments of you opening your mouth.
