Let's all get together and hang out!
No, seriously.
We are leaders, innovators, tech nerds, professionals, and others! who have begun learning — and are still learning — to overcome, work with, and leverage our introversion for good.
A few of us decided to start this group as a spin-off from the Wichita Data Professionals and Wichita Technology Forum groups. The purpose of this new group will be to meet just a few times a year, enjoy some food and beverage, laugh together, and hear fun testimonials from a few of us who have made some headway in leveraging our introversion to get things done.
The format will begin like this: "Hello, my name is David Cochran, and I am a professional introvert ..." followed by a story or two laced with self-effacing humor and useful bits of insight — followed in turn by discussion, and laughter.
Anyone who attended our recent Wichita Data Professionals meeting saw the miracle of a room full of energy emanating from a room full of introverts. It was amazing. So we want to do it more, in new ways.
