Virtual Networking - NO EXCUSES

Hello my fellow entrepreneurial friends! What a crazy and busy past 3 weeks of traveling it has been for me. First, Kansas City and then to Wilmington, NC to help my wife move. Now that I am back, I am ready to get back in to the game that I love most. Many people have asked me when the next meetup is. I have decided to try something a little different. Since I have some big things happening at work the next couple of weeks, I will be holding this 3rd event virtually. That means this will act some what as a forum. I want everyone who is part of this group to comment and answer these five questions: 1) Who are you 2) do you have a startup (if so, give us a link so we can help promote it!) or a startup idea (don't tell us exactly what it is, maybe just the shortened version), 3) what is your next move? Is it to raise money, manufacture, prototype, or just learn about the idea of starting a company? 4) what is your LinkedIn profile? 5) what is your 2-5 year goal? (this question is more important than you think - my mentor and friend who worked with Steve Jobs for 6 years, asked me this question quite often. Why? Because a person who knew what their goal was years down the road showed a different type of drive than a person who didn't know where they were going. I want to know if you have THAT drive or not.

I know this last question is asking you to be honest, but to be honest, if YOU can't be honest with everyone else, then you are going to have the time of your life trying to find the right group of people to join your team. I am here to help and make connections, but unless I (or anyone else in this group) truly understands you, than how helpful can we all really be to each other?

Finally, like I said I would do at the 1st and 2nd meetup, I am preparing to schedule some guest speakers. The first will be an intellectual property rights individual (sometime in July). Before then, though, there will be another face-to-face meetup (mid-June). Since our group is expanding so quickly, I will be reaching out for some suite/conference room areas where we can have the meetups. Tulley's has been great but having almost 20 people in a small sitting isn't quite ideal nor is it comfortable.
