ADHD: Managing Emotions in Relationships

Without emotional regulation and clear communication, ADHD can turn love into a painful cycle: the same triggers, the same arguments, the same distance afterwards. Over time it erodes trust, connection, and confidence and you can end up feeling like roommates, not partners.

R — Regulation: how to stay calm when you become emotional overwhelmed so you can respond, not react.
C — Communication: how to say what you need without blame, shutdown, or escalation.
