What we’re about

This group is based in Dublin and is for Project Managers, Programme Managers, Programme/Project Directors, IT Portfolio Managers and Senior Business Analysts looking to move into Project Management.

Our primary focus is to enable related information sharing, provide a social forum for those that would like it and offer guidance around talks/presentations. <br>Firstly, Information Sharing - The organiser/s will be enabling discussion around all things Project/Programme Management related. In the first instance/period this will be loosely structured. When we have sufficient active members we will have weekly or biweekly discussion sessions scheduled in the working week (Monday to Friday) and a social session once or twice a month, to occur on a Friday or Saturday.

Topics for discussion will be drawn from relevant interest areas such as - Portfolio Management, PMP, Prince2, Agile, Scrum, LEAN, Kanban, MoP, MoR, Trello, PM Tools (eg MS Project), Presentation techniques and other Project/Programme/IT Portfolio/Director attributes.

Secondly, Socialising we will find a nice place to have a few drinks and socialise for the evening/night. We will also have social Tennis sessions for beginners and improvers. These social sessions are about networking/connecting and meeting friends and soon-to-be-friends.

Finally, Talks - we also have an interest in presentations and team/public speaking. We hope to provide tips and techniques. If you wish and your content is appropriate, you may be able to give us a 'talk' and receive constructive feedback.

This group is not targeting those that want to undertake a PM qualification i.e. it is not a study group or a resource to find other students. However, such students could benefit from talking to experienced/qualified professionals. Additionally, we may have focused sessions that directly address topics that are part of a course.

Please note: this is a private group which means members and events are only visible to members.
