Enjoy an evening of music with Barrels to Beethoven across genres and learn a little about the steelpan. This performance will feature special guest Phil Solomon, world-renowned steelpan builder and musician, as we celebrate Phil Solomon Day in the city of Pittsburgh.
After the music, everyone is invited down the street to Le salon du porche de Saleem for extended R&R.
This the Frick's 4th annual Make Music Day Pittsburgh celebration and features:
Brighton Music Center & Unisound’s instrument petting zoo offering youth and the young at heart the opportunity to learn more about a variety of instruments through hands-on interaction. Discover the joy that comes from making music!
Farina Foundation will also be on hand collecting instruments of any kind for their donation drive. The foundation furthers the vision of namesake Frank J. Farina, Jr. by providing scholarships, donations of refurbished instruments, financial support for instrument rentals, and lessons to children in need.
