UPDATE ON GROUP ACTIVITIES & CURRENT EVENTS 4/15/25

Hi Folks:
Because of the ENDLESS, HORRIBLE stuff that the Trump administration has been doing since he’s been inaugurated, I have chosen (lately) to focus on getting more involved in POLITICAL ACTION. (I also have had some medical issues to deal with, so that has taken up time also.)

We WILL have more meetup events, but I am also putting HIGH PRIORITY on attending political protests (& other actions) OPPOSING the Trump Admin and Project 2025. If you don’t know what Project 2025 is, I strenuously suggest you look it up online. It’s the “vision” for the future for the Billionaires that are currently running our country. It’s for them, NOT US.

But YOU, member, are encouraged to JOIN US!! There are several groups around this country (& even worldwide) that are organizing to OPPOSE the Trump Agenda. And we are gathering a FEW MILLION PEOPLE who are protesting TO BE HEARD. You may have seen these protests on the news lately. Well, I was at 2 of them! And I’m planning to attend MANY MORE. Let’s be real: our financial & general future depends on it!!

AND YOU ARE ENCOURAGED TO JOIN!! These groups are organizing rallies in multiple parts of the country at the same time, as well as various local rallies. They are also advising on bills & laws you can call your congress-person about to support or deny. You can get ACTUAL INSTRUCTIONS to voice your opinion on laws that can combat the destruction Trump (& Elon) are waging – that you would have never known about before.

This is a massive campaign to MAKE OUR VOICES HEARD & to oppose the chaotic destruction of the Trump Gang. (The “Gang” includes Trump, Musk, Trump’s Idiotic Appointees, the Republicans in Congress & their Billionaire friends.) I will organize some more meetup events for this group, but part of my focus will be on JOINING in these actions to protect our country (and things like our social security!!). So I may be listing some PROTEST events coming up. This won’t be until after Easter, since I will be out of town with family until after Easter.

WHAT ARE THESE GROUPS?? I recently joined INDIVISIBLE – a nationwide organization devoted to protecting our Democracy from Trump & his gang. You can find them at www.indivisible.org. I simply typed in my zipcode to get emails about the latest events they are organizing that I can join. Since I’m in Gurnee, INDIVISIBLE hooked me up with a chapter close to me: “Northeast Lake County INDIVISIBLE”, so I can find the most local events & community.

I’m still kind of NEW to these groups, but INDIVISIBLE also coordinates with other action groups like:

“mobilize.us”,
“move.on”
and more groups. They seem to be working together to organize most efficiently.

NOTE THAT I ACTUALLY HAD FUN AT THESE 2 PROTESTS!! Many of us made signs to bring. It felt GOOD to have people around me who share many of my views!! It felt GOOD to be part of the action. It felt GOOD to make my voice heard & to participate. AND I ENCOURAGE YOU TO ALSO!! Just join INDIVISIBLE first & check it out.

You can CHOOSE which actions you want to take. There is not enough space here to list all of the ENDLESS problems that Trump’s Gang is creating for our country, our economy, our rights and our Earned Benefits (like social security)!! I can’t possibly fit that all here. BUT KEEP WATCHING REAL NEWS TO SEE. And we can discuss any of this at our next political action or event. TIME TO MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD!!

SO I WILL BE SCHEDULING MORE EVENTS AFTER EASTER. Some of those events will simply be joining in an upcoming protest. Again I emphasize: I HAD FUN DOING THIS!! How else do you get a crowd that big?? And the people at the protests are seeing the same problems as I am!

OKAY – that is my update for now. Please STAY TUNED & start getting involved if you any extra time. Given all the horror I’m seeing unfold, including seeing MY social security payments that I worked 35 years to earn THREATENED, I WILL NOT STAY SILENT. I will not sit by when our entire country needs us to TAKE A STAND.
