PURELY SOCIAL: Get to Know You over Japanese Dinner

Details
That’s right. This is NOT a protest or a rally. Just a social dinner. We don’t have to talk politics tonight, but you can if you want! It’s time to get to know each other better! Let’s go to a quieter restaurant where they serve a range of Japanese dishes. I’ve been surveying more restaurants lately to try to find more options in my area & Hayashi is one of them. Most restaurants will NOT take reservations for either Friday or Saturday night & Hayashi does Not take reservations.
Hayashi told me that a typical wait time on Saturday evening is about 20 to 30 minutes (for up to 8 of us). But if the line looks too long, there are 2 other eating options within several feet of walking. One is Taco Pros, an informal dining place where you can get a variety of Mexican food for decent prices. The other is Potbelly, where you can get a large variety of sandwiches with the typical fries, chips & drinks. If we get too large a crowd, or the wait time is too long, we can walk a few feet to these other places.
We’ll aim for “HAYASHI” though. Hayashi serves noodle dishes, teriyaki, tempura, sushi & and few more things. There are many food choices on their menu. So you do NOT have to eat raw fish if you don’t want to! I am very fond of oriental food and I also like this place because it’s NOT NOISY! We should be able to hear about each well here. I will also be inviting members from my “Liberal Dating” group. That’s a much smaller group, so that won’t bring us but 1 or 2 more people, if that.
My dinners focus on everyone being introduced and on everyone getting a chance to talk AND be heard. You’ll go away knowing a little more about the people you just ate dinner with. Here are some suggestions for topics we can talk about in case anyone needs a few conversation ideas:
Work you do or did (if you are retired)
Hobbies
Interests
Current Social Networks you have
Volunteering you do?
Hurdles or Obstacles you are dealing with
How much you think Trump is an idiot!
Note those are just suggestions. And as is always the case, I have a lot of members who’ve never attended an event yet! Well, we want to meet you! Please come join us for dinner this Saturday at Hayashi!
