Saturday March 28, 2026: “NO KINGS” RALLY and LUNCH After!

This event is a combination Political Rally with Lunch after it. This is the FIRST “NO KINGS” Rally of 2026. The reason these rallies are called “NO KINGS” is because Trump has acted like a KING in making unilateral decisions without Congressional approval & often against what Congress has already decided. And that is UNCONSTITUTIONAL! It goes against the concept of “balance of powers” that our framers set up precisely to make sure no branch of government has too much power.

And to protest all of his aggressive & damaging actions to stop any criticism of himself whatsoever, by suing people & companies to death AND by using military force in our streets against protestors exercising their right to free speech. And NOW we have WAR with IRAN that was NEVER approved of by Congress! If you are keeping up with political events even somewhat, I KNOW it is exhausting & never-ending.

But I think we’ve been REALLY LUCKY to have been born in this country & should appreciate the freedoms we have had & that this Administration wants to take away. SO STAND UP AGAIN!! I attended about 7 rallies last year & actually had A LOT OF FUN at them. I feel a BIG JOLT of positive energy & comaradie at these rallies – knowing that most of the people attending feel as I do about most of the issues. WE ARE IN GOOD COMPANY!! Don’t forget the goofy costumes & creative signs too!

Note that we are NOT confronting ICE, NOT at a detention center & NOT doing any illegal or even questionable actions. We will be simply holding our signs, chanting & standing or sitting around. The organizers of these rallies get permits to have them & have the entire thing cleared with police & all local political figures. IT’S 1000% LEGAL IN EVERY WAY. So don’t be afraid.

The Rally is set up by INDIVIDIBLE, “NO KINGS” & a host of other political groups who are opposing the Trump Administration, the “suck up” Republican Congress, and Project 2025. If this location is not close enough for you, just look on their websites & you’ll find the rally closest to you. I will be attending the rally in Gurnee.

This Rally will be at Grand Avenue & Hunt Club Road in Gurnee, on all corners. You’ll see A LOT of people there, so you’ll know you’re in the right place. The rally will be from 10am to Noon. It’s a “honk & wave” event, meaning that cars who feel as we do drive by honking & waving in support. And we wave back! We’ve had LOTS of cars driving by in support at the 7 rallies I attended.

There is a lot of parking where the TGIF restaurant closed (on the SW corner) – and all around it. There is a Wendy’s very close on the SW corner, so I’m picking Wendy’s to meet at after the rally & grab some lunch. We can eat & talk about our experiences this day! We are not meeting AT the rally because there will be too many people to find each other, but we can convene at Wendy’s at 12:15 or 12:30pm AFTER the rally is over. (Note that the rally WILL be over by Noon-ish because Indivisible has a permit only for 10am to Noon. People then disperse.)

DO YOU NEED A SIGN?? You do not, but you can bring a sign if you want! I will have a large, bright green sign with lettering on both sides. The THEME of this rally is that we don’t have KINGS in this country, even tho Trump is being a total dictator. The revolutionary war was fought to get rid of a KING!! So you can make a sign indicating “NO KINGS”…or not. You WILL see some really creative signs, tho! Guaranteed!

WILL THERE BE CONFRONTATION?? We do everything to AVOID any confrontation of any kind. Indivisible is a non-partisan organization; anyone can join. They get permits for EVERYTHING they do. ALL is cleared with the police & the cities where the rallies are held. They are FULLY AGAINST any violence, vandalism & any confrontation with any opposers. WE ARE FULLY PEACEFUL PROTESTORS!!

SO COME JOIN US!! THERE IS NOTHING TO BE AFRAID OF as long as you are lawful. If you understand the general gist of my group, you will be around a lot of other people who are feeling like you are!! I find it greatly uplifting to be around other people who are sharing my concerns & getting up off their butts to do something about it!! YOU’LL EVEN HAVE FUN & you’ll be making HISTORY!! And then we’ll have Lunch!
