Project C.I.T.Y

We will assist Dallas LIFE with sorting and organizing their donations for the residents. We will be standing the entire time. Please no open toe shoes.

Parking: you will enter Dallas LIFE off of Griffin Street into a small parking lot. You may park in that lot or on the west side of the building (that runs parallel with the Dart Rail Track). The entrance to the building is off the porch on the west side. Please know that we also lease the lot on the far side of the playground if additional parking is needed. Dress: Please wear jeans or pants. While in the building we ask that leggings nor tights be worn as pants. Shirts must cover the body and have at least a short sleeve. For your protection, open-toed shoes should not be worn. If you are volunteering in the kitchen, you will be provided an apron, gloves, and a hair covering. You can wear your own personal cap/hat. If you are with a company, school, or church and have logo shirts, please feel free to wear them.

Please remember: You must be at least 10 years of age to volunteer (age 13 to serve hot foods). All children must be supervised by an appropriate adult.

#### Please park at the front of the warehouse. The rear of the warehouse is utilized for loading materials.

#### • Plan on staying until the ramp is finished. Some ramps take longer than others due to size, complexity, and amount of on-site customization. If you must leave at a certain time, please make this known at the warehouse as ramp assignments are being made. On average, ramps are finished in 3 to 6 hours but that is not a guarantee. Please have your team members communicate any time conflicts with Dallas Ramp Project Leadership before leaving the warehouse.

#### • Be prepared for safe construction work – flip flops or similar shoes are unsafe and should not be worn. If your group consists of volunteers under the age of 18, we require at least two adults to accompany them.

#### • Bring cordless drills (if you have one), work gloves, snacks, bug spray and sunscreen, and plenty of water.

#### • Check for weather related updates on the Dallas

home page after 6:30 A.M. on build days.

#### We are sorry but insurance prevents us from allowing volunteers under the age of 16 on the build site. A minimum of two adult supervisors at each site is required in case one adult has to leave. The remaining adult would be responsible for supervising minors still on the build site.

#### We do not transport volunteers to/from the site.
