Mulu Caves - show caves and adventure caving
Itinerary starts from 12th April
Day 1 - transfer to Mulu from KK, transfer to your accommodation in Mulu National Park. DEER & LANG'S CAVE + BAT EXODUS (show caves)
Deer Cave in Borneo's Gunung Mulu National Park, Malaysia, is a world-renowned spectacle famous as one of the largest cave passages globally, featuring massive entrances and chambers, and hosting millions of bats that perform a spectacular nightly exodus at sunset, creating a "river of smoke" effect as they swarm out to hunt insects, accessible via boardwalks after a jungle trek, and offering a breathtaking natural phenomenon for visitors.
Lang’s cave has some of the most spectacular stalactites and stalagmites in Mulu National Park.
Day 2 - WIND & CLEARWATER CAVE + OPTIONAL NIGHT WALK (show caves)
Wind cave, explore the “King’s Chamber” and forest of stalagmites & stalactites within the cave and learn more about the formation of these incredible geological features.
Clearwater cave system. At 227km long, it’s one of the longest cave systems in the world and home to more of the incredible geological features Mulu is famous for.
Day 3 - Adventure caving Clearwater connection - advanced - only if you have previous caving experience.
Day 4 - canopy walk - 420 metre walkway, suspended 25 metres above the forest floor and is one of the longest tree based canopy walks in the world. As you walk across the treetops, you get a unique "bird's-eye" view of the rainforest and river below.
