AIR: Slackline
PXT Slackline Photo: Magnar Myrtveit Slackline. Harder then walking home drunk, but a hell of a lot more relaxing! If you haven't tried it before, come on down and we'll show you the ropes. If you have, we've got higher lines and 25-30M for a bit more challenge. This is an addictive sport and you're gonna want your own line sooner or later. TO PURCHASE THE WIDER/TRICK LINES; Namedrop "PXT" when ordering a Gibbon line from http://www.gibbonhk.com to get a 5% discount! TO PURCHASE THE THINNER NYLON LINES; Namedrop "projectx" when ordering a Pure line from http://www.pureslacklines.com to get a 5% discount! SLACKLINING 走扁帶 / 走软绳 / 走绳 Slacklining is a practice in balance that uses nylon webbing tensioned between two anchor points. The line is dynamic, stretching and bouncing like a long and narrow trampoline, allowing for impressive tricks and stunts. Due to limited gear, headcount is limited. Slackline Providers: your RSVP is guaranteed :-) Thanks for sharing and enabling others to enjoy! If you are looking for a reasonably-priced slackline, WHAT TO BRING? Signed PXT Waiver (required once): http://www.projectxteam.org/events/pxt-waiver.pdf Slacklines OR HKD20 Your HKD20 will initially go towards the cost of a few general use slacklines. Afterwards, it will be donated to http://www.changingyounglives.org.hk (http://www.changingyounglives.org.hk/upge.php) Your Smile & RespectNot just for fellow slackers, but also, for the public and guards. As slacklining is relatively unknown in Hong Kong, the public and guards may be wary of the sport. As long as we slackline safely with spotters and take into consideration the people with whom we share public space with and leave it in excellent condition, we may continue to slackline undisturbed. The slackline area is sheltered from rain and well-lit at night. Note: To participate in this event, you must understand and accept the following; there are inherent risks to everything in life. We all assume and take daily doses of calculated risks. The events we run at Project X are to be regarded the same way. Project X Team Event Organizers are unpaid volunteers who run events out of goodwill, and in the purest spirit of fellowship and friendship. While Event Organizers are trained, given the tools and support to run fastidiously safe events, you must assume and accept the “risks” involved through your participation in this event. Without this fundamental understanding between you and Event Organizers, Project X Team will cease to function as the largest, most active volunteer-powered not-for-profit extreme activities group in Hong Kong. Waiver: I am participating in an event organized by Project X Team (the “Group”), a non-official social group of friends and acquaintances connected through Facebook and Meet-Up. The Group organizes various activities which I participate out of my own free will. As a member of the Group I agree to abide by the rules of the Group and to follow legitimate instructions of an Officer of the Group. When participating in the Group’s activities, I agree to abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Group, failing which my participation may be denied. As a participant, I acknowledge and fully understand the inherent risks and dangers associated with the said activities, which I accept completely and voluntarily. Neither the Group nor her officers or helpers will be held liable for any death, bodily injuries, property damage or any other loss or suffering sustained by me due to any cause whatsoever. If I have health concerns and medical conditions, I agree to consult a doctor and to inform an officer of the Group before participating in the Group’s activities. I am also aware that I am responsible for taking out my own insurance to cover risks and dangers associated with the activities. By RSVPing on this event, I confirm my participation in the activity, and it signifies and confirms my voluntary acceptance of the above terms and conditions.

Project X Team

PXT is a Sports & Recreation group focused on extreme sports, activity-based volunteerism, and environmental conservation.

You'll find Xers on LAND, in the SEA, and quite possibly up in the AIR, too!

LAND: We climb rocks, boulders, artificial walls. We hike, road run, trail run, trail hash. Then, we wrap it all up with some yoga. ;)

SEA: We're avid scuba diving and have also been known to freedive, wakeboard, kayak, and sail.
AIR: We run slacklining and rapelling/abseiling events.

Project X Team is a legal society registered under the Societies Ordinance in Hong Kong. Our goals are:

To promote interest in edgier and more extreme sports in Hong Kong & Singapore
To undertake worthy projects and activities that will impart knowledge and skills
To take people out of their comfort zones, empower them to do things they never thought they could and through this, change lives.

Who are we?

X'ers are a diverse group of people from all over the world looking to stay fit through exciting and fun sports, all the while meeting new people!

We come from Belarus, Russia, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Britain, America, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, Serbia, Panama, Austria, Australia, Germany, Italy, Canada, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, China and, of course ... Hong Kong.

We X'ers flock together because we're all extreme sport enthusiasts with a heart for marine conservation work, community service and the empowerment of others

Who's behind all this?

A team of trained adventurers, adrenaline junkies, climbing, diving, extreme sport Instructors. We aim to bring you the entire gamut of extreme sports available in Hong Kong and beyond.

Core Activities

Climbing and Diving are core activities at Project X:

Climbing: We organize climbs (on both artificial and real rock) and have a keen focus on training and performance. If you wish to climb better, join our training program, covering SCU and MU certificate courses and non-certificate skills courses all run by qualified professional instructors.

Diving: We dive regularly, both recreationally and for licensing. We offer NAUI introductory discovery dives through Openwater to DiveMaster, Assistant Instructor, and Instructor courses. Want to go deep, explore caves and wrecks? Cross over to Technical diving where qualified instructors can take you all the way to Tech Instructor! Don’t want to use cumbersome dive equipment, join us for apnea free-diving.
Hiking: We lead hikes for Beginners and Experienced hikers. Let's get out of the hustle and bustle of HK cityscape and into the luscious greenery of the hills beyond!

At Project X Team we will submerge you in the ocean, launch you through the air and have you climb steep cliffs, traverse rugged and exotic terrain both in Hong Kong and around Asia. Engaging Sea Air & Land, we're multi-terrain, multi-environment, multi-discipline, multi-sport. Activities for all seasons of the year.

Project X Team is led by a professional team of experienced instructors, adventurers and adrenaline junkies. Our Instructors are certified by national / international bodies to lead in scuba diving, technical diving, freediving, sport and trad climbing, jungle survival, small water craft, navigation etc etc. We also wake and snowboard, race karts, engage in war-games and rig crazy flying foxes.

We run high risk events here at Project X, but safety remains our primary focus. We run events only when we know what we're doing, and have done it before. To manage and minimize risk / danger, we enlist & engage professionals to assist in all events requiring specialized knowledge and skill sets.
