Hi London!

We would like to invite you to our next Prometheus London Meetup! Just two weeks before PromCon. As always we have some awesome speakers and talks around Prometheus ecosystem topics. ❤️

▶︎ Roman Khavronenko (@RomanHavronenko): Extending PromQL

PromQL is a super suitable language to work with time series. However, people often ask why not just use SQL? In this talk, I'll try to explain the pros and cons of PromQL, ways to improve it and how projects like VictoriaMetrics extend PromQL with new features.

▶︎ Bartek Plotka (@bwplotka): How Prometheus Reduced Remote Read Footprint from Gigabytes to a Constant Memory per Request.

Bartek, Prometheus core team member, and Thanos maintainer will walk us through the recent changes to remote read API in Prometheus v2.13 and how this improves integrating with Prometheus e.g with Thanos. We will also touch on the possibility for remote read becoming universal integration protocol for Prometheus Ecosystem.

▶︎ Bryan Boreham (@bboreham): What happens if you create 300,000 alerts in four hours?

Bryan will talk about a customer who once created 300,000 alerts. What happened next will amaze you!
